Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl hopes the team’s supporters will follow him in London. Although the UK now has a new round of Covid-19 outbreak.
Saints are set to visit West Ham in the Premier League on Sunday. The Saints’ situation is 15th, collecting 17 points from 17 games.
Hasenhuttl stated that he would personally like to see fans follow him to the London Stadium because football with supporters in the stadium would be a completely different matter.
“Clearly, football with fans is something different. It’s what makes it even more enjoyable.
“It’s a very important part of British culture. and you want to have it But you have to balance the risk with the reward you will receive in return.
“I’m happy that I didn’t have to make decisions. I am happy to see the fans in the stadium. And I’m happy that it will continue to be like that now.
“I don’t know how difficult the situation is right now. But fear is a very big thing. And that’s why you should minimize your risks.”
Victory for Southampton at the London Stadium would see Hasenhuttl’s men rise one place to 14th, while a win for West Ham would put the Hammers back within touching distance of the top four.
